Cookie policy
Updated October 24, 2026
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies notablia.com uses and how you decide about them. We apply the same rule in every country, and it's the strictest one: Article 20 of Andorra's Llei 20/2014, del 16 d'octubre; Directive 2002/58/EC and the law that applies it in each EU country (in Spain, Article 22.2 of the LSSI; in Portugal, Article 5 of Lei 41/2004); the GDPR; the UK rules (PECR); Brazil's LGPD; and US privacy laws.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some technologies do the same job, like your browser's local storage, and we treat them the same way as cookies.
What we use
| Name | Set by | What for | How long | Needs your consent? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google (Google Analytics) | Tell visits apart to count how many people read each page | 13 months | Yes, only works if you accept |
_ga_<ID> | Google (Google Analytics) | Keep track of that visit's session | 13 months | Yes, only works if you accept |
notablia-consent (local storage) | Notablia | Remember whether you accepted or rejected | 12 months | No: it's technical |
| Tool work (local storage) | Notablia | Keep what you're working on, like your SWOT in the SWOT template or the steps you mark as done in the guides | Until you delete it | No: it's the service you asked for |
__cf_bm and cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Security: tell people from bots, only if those protections are turned on | 30 minutes | No: it's for security |
Technical, security and requested-service storage doesn't need your consent (Article 20.4 of Llei 20/2014 and Article 22.2 of the LSSI). What the tools save stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Google Analytics, only if you accept
- What we measure: pages viewed, how long you spend on them, how you arrived (a search engine, a link), your approximate country or region, and your device type and browser. We look at it as totals to see which guides help and make them better.
- What we don't do: we don't turn on Google Signals or any advertising features, we don't share this data with Google for other purposes, we don't combine it with other data, and we don't try to find out who you are. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store your IP address.
- Who and for how long: Google processes this data on our behalf, as a processor. We keep each visit's data for 2 months; the totals stay.
- Transfer to the United States: Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which has a European Commission adequacy decision and is recognized for Andorra by the APDA, and it also uses the Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Learn more: how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Legal basis: your consent.
How you decide
- The first time you visit, you see a notice with two identical buttons, "Accept" and "Reject." Until you accept, Google Analytics doesn't load and none of its cookies are set.
- You can change your mind anytime with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a rejection.
- We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if this policy changes.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
Depending on where you live
- United States: we don't sell or share personal information for advertising, as defined by California's CCPA and similar state laws, and we honor Global Privacy Control.
- European Union and United Kingdom: we ask for consent before any cookie that isn't technical, and rejecting is as easy as accepting.
- Brazil: the legal basis is your consent (Article 7.I of the LGPD), and you can withdraw it for free at any time (Article 8, § 5).
What we do with data, your rights and where to complain are in our privacy policy.
If we ever show ads
If Notablia shows Google AdSense ads, we'll update this policy first and ask for your consent again. We'll use a consent management platform certified by Google and integrated with IAB Europe's TCF, which is what Google requires to serve personalized ads in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland.
